Holiday Plush Made to a Retail Date
Seasonal plush is the only category where being late means the order is worthless. A teddy bear that arrives in February still sells. A Christmas elf that arrives in February sits in a warehouse for ten months, and a Valentine bear that misses the window misses it by a year.
That changes how these orders are planned. We work backwards from your retail date rather than forwards from the day you place the order, and we tell you honestly at inquiry stage whether the date is achievable. A supplier who says yes to every deadline is not being helpful, they are moving the problem to you.
We produce Christmas plush, Valentine gift plush, faith-based Christmas gift dolls and plush bouquets, complete with retail-ready printed packaging. Everything is made in our own factory in China to the GB6675, ASTM F963, EN71, CE and REACH standards.
Scheduled backwards from your date
Tell us when stock has to be on the shelf. We build the schedule from there, including sample rounds, factory peak season and sea freight time.
Retail-ready on arrival
Printed window boxes, header cards, hangtags, barcodes and age grading, so goods move straight from carton to shelf without repacking.
Honest about capacity
Chinese factory capacity tightens sharply in the run up to Christmas and closes entirely around Chinese New Year. We say so before quoting, not after.
Gift Boxes Built for the Shelf
Seasonal plush is bought as a gift, which means the box does as much selling as the toy does. We produce full printed window boxes rather than leaving you to arrange packaging separately after the toys arrive.
What we can produce with the toy
Packaging artwork is usually the thing that delays an otherwise finished seasonal order, because it needs its own approval round and often its own compliance check. Producing it alongside the toy removes that gap.
- Printed window boxes with die cut apertures and clear PVC or PET windows
- Character name panels, illustrated side art and descriptive back panels
- Age grading, safety warnings and barcodes for your destination market
- Header cards, hangtags, gift bags and custom carton marking
Send your retailer compliance sheet at inquiry stage. Barcode format, warning wording and age grading all vary between markets, and correcting a printed box after the run is far more expensive than getting the artwork right first.

When to Place a Seasonal Order
The single question we are asked latest and should be asked earliest. These are working guidelines rather than promises, and your actual schedule depends on complexity, volume and freight route.
| Stage | Christmas range | Valentine range |
|---|---|---|
| Stock needed on shelf | September to October | Early January |
| Sea freight allowance | 30 to 45 days to US and EU | 30 to 45 days to US and EU |
| Production window | Around 30 working days | Around 30 working days |
| Sample and approval | Allow several weeks including revisions | Allow several weeks including revisions |
| Start the conversation | First quarter of the same year | Third quarter of the previous year |
| Main risk | Factory capacity tightens across China from mid year | Chinese New Year closure falls immediately before |
The Valentine row is the one buyers miss. Chinese factories close for an extended period around Chinese New Year, which lands in late January or February depending on the year, immediately before the Valentine selling window. Goods have to be produced and shipped before that closure, which pushes the real ordering deadline back into the previous autumn.
If you are reading this outside those windows, still get in touch. Air freight, existing stock models and simplified designs can all recover time, and knowing what is realistic is more useful than assuming it is impossible.
What We Produce for the Gift Season
Five product streams, all sharing the same construction methods and the same seasonal scheduling problem.
Christmas Character Plush
Santa figures, elves, reindeer, snowmen and seasonal animals, with fabric costumes and accessories made as separate pieces rather than printed on. Produced for retail ranges and promotional giveaways.
Valentine Gift Plush
Hearts, message bears, couple sets and dressed gift figures. Small sizes dominate this window because the products sell at impulse price points near the till.
Plush Bouquets
Small bears arranged and wrapped like a flower bouquet. A strong Valentine seller because it competes with fresh flowers on price while lasting considerably longer.
Faith-Based Christmas Gifts
Character dolls for the Christian gift and church retail market, supplied in printed boxes with descriptive back panels. A category that sells hardest at Christmas but moves year round.
Boxed Gift Sets
Plush supplied in printed retail packaging with the artwork, barcodes and age grading your market requires. Produced alongside the toy so packaging approval does not become the bottleneck.
Seasonal Plush Specifications
Standard options for this category. Anything outside these ranges is usually still possible, so ask rather than assume.

Seasonal Plush Questions
Questions specific to holiday and gift plush. For general manufacturing questions, see the FAQ on our homepage.
How late can I still order for this Christmas?
It depends on the design and how much of the schedule is still available. Rather than guess, send us your target shelf date and the product idea, and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
If the full route is too tight, there are usually options. Simplifying a design cuts sample rounds, adapting an existing model removes pattern development entirely, and air freight buys back several weeks at a cost. What does not work is committing to a date and discovering the problem in month two.
Why does Chinese New Year matter for Valentine orders?
Chinese factories close for an extended period around Chinese New Year, and the date moves each year between late January and February. That closure lands immediately before the Valentine selling window.
The practical effect is that Valentine goods have to be produced and shipped before the closure, not after it. That pushes the real ordering deadline back into the previous autumn, which surprises most first time buyers in this category.
Can you produce the retail packaging as well as the toy?
Yes. Printed window boxes, header cards, hangtags, gift bags and custom carton marking are all produced to your artwork alongside the toy.
Doing both together is worth more than it sounds on a seasonal order. Packaging artwork routinely takes longer to approve than the product, and when packaging is arranged separately it becomes the reason a finished shipment sits waiting.
What sells best at Christmas versus Valentine?
They behave quite differently. Christmas rewards larger, more elaborate pieces bought as a main gift, often boxed, and buyers will pay for costume detail and presentation. Character sets also perform well because families buy more than one.
Valentine is dominated by smaller items at impulse price points, placed near the till and bought in the final week. Elaborate construction is usually wasted there. A plush bouquet is the exception, since it competes directly with fresh flowers at a similar price and lasts far longer.
Can you produce plush bouquets?
Yes. Small bears or characters arranged and wrapped in gift paper with ribbon, produced as a complete finished item rather than components you assemble.
Bouquets ship bulkier than their unit cost suggests, since the wrapping cannot be compressed without damaging the presentation. Factor that into freight when you compare the landed cost against a boxed product.
Do you produce faith-based and inspirational gift plush?
Yes. We produce character dolls for the Christian gift and church retail market, including boxed products with printed name panels and descriptive back panel text.
This category sells hardest at Christmas but moves steadily year round, which makes it useful alongside a purely seasonal range. Production is scheduled the same way as any other order.
Can I reorder the same design next season?
Yes, and it is considerably faster the second time. We keep the master pattern and the approved sample, so a repeat run skips development entirely and can be matched physically against the original.
Expect a slight fabric dye lot variation on stock ordered a year apart. It is normal across the industry and rarely noticeable unless the two seasons sit side by side on the same shelf.
What safety marking do seasonal gift toys need?
All our production meets GB6675. Goods entering the United States are checked against ASTM F963, and goods entering the European Union against EN71 and REACH with CE marking applied.
For boxed gift products the marking has to appear on the packaging as well as the product, including age grading and any required warning text. Send your retailer compliance sheet early, since correcting a printed box after the run is expensive and slow.
What is your minimum order quantity?
MOQ depends on the design complexity and how many variants you need, since each variant carries its own pattern set and material run. Printed packaging also carries its own minimum, which is often the binding constraint on a small seasonal order.
Tell us the product, the size, the number of variants and whether you need boxes, and we will confirm the exact figure with your quotation.
Do you work with small brands and first time buyers?
Yes. Alongside larger accounts we regularly produce for small gift brands, independent retailers and businesses ordering seasonal plush for the first time.
You do not need a tech pack. Send a sketch, a photo or a description, tell us your realistic budget, volume and shelf date, and we will tell you honestly what is achievable rather than quoting something that cannot land in time.
What are your payment terms?
We accept bank transfer (T/T) only, structured as a 30 percent deposit with the 70 percent balance paid before shipment.
EXW, FOB, CIF and DAP pricing are all available, so you can choose whichever incoterm fits how your freight is already organised.
